DoD’s Walter Reed Institute Exclusively
Licenses Liver Cell Line to Thai Biotech

Siam Life Sciences has an exclusive license to use the immortalized hepatocytes in preclinical drug evaluation and safety studies, and plans to make the cell line available to the global pharmaceutical industry. Meanwhile, the company also has an interest in further developing the technology for use in bio-artificial liver devices, an application for which the company also has a non-exclusive license from the US DoD
