Spur Local Gene-Repair Spinout to Relocate

The departure of University of Delaware biology professor Erik Kmiec to West Virginia’s Marshall University may precipitate a similar flight from the state by Orphagenix, the gene-repair company he co-founded. Keeping the shop from staying is a dearth of gap funding to advance its technology to the clinical testing phase.
